crazy fucking week!!

Sorry for the profanity above... i just had to use it after watching my favorite comedian Eddie Izzard stand up comedy, really funny guy i suggest you try finding some video of him in youtube if you have the time.

Anyway, yes i know i'm way behind updates. i have a few, Howe's 21st birthday outing than there the Bagan Lalang trip and also the first week of sem 4 aka short sem *gasp*

But i think i will talk bout the first week of class alright? Well it is a bloody short semester AGAIN and to as expected everything would be kind of a rush. Ms Cheryl teaching us Research paper class already started having do research for our assignment, Ms Nalena have start thinking of concept for our ads.

Basically the ads is to advertise bout yourself, heck that's rather handy to advertise about yourself. although i have given the concept a lot of thought in the break i'm not sure whether i could pull it off. hm~

and Ms Ellis teaching PR has already started getting us to prepare for a small campaign which we DMC have to do for SOBIZ (which is another school within INTI).

So yes, crazy fucking first week no? not to mention my car battery died also which is very amusing... thank god i decided to go to petrol station to get some gas first before shooting to college. don't wanna have my battery dead when i wanna go home after a tiring day in college..

And so it begins

3 weeks of holiday woohoo!!! oh wait... let me re-phrase that, 2 weeks of holiday woohoo!! yea it would have been 3 weeks if i updated last week but oh well what's the difference right?

anyway, not much to do in these said 3 weeks... what i got in mind?

1.) build gundam
2.) celebrate Howe's 21st birthday
3.) a trip to the beach

yea... it would have more plans if i didn't spend RM220 on gundam in the 1st week of the holiday, than my mind would have look like this

1.) Watch Ip Man 2
2.) Celebrate Howe's 21st birthday
3.) Bracelet hunting with Essenism gang (yes we are still at!!)
4.) Watch Ironman 2
5.) Go up to genting just to sip some starbucks
6.) A trip to the beach

Anyhoo, aside from puchasing a RM220 MG Unicorn Gundam on the 1st week of the break, i wanna give thanks to the sem 1 march intake students for throwing a senior & junior gathering. it was fun getting to know the juniors and all but the event could have been better without any incidents happening... i will probably cover that incident 1 day but not today...

So sorry bloggy that i haven't updated you in like what? 4 months? geez... i should start updating or else the blog feels more dead....

Oops...False Alarm

A quick update here. Some prankster today decided to sound the fire alarm today while we were in the middle of DIE (digital image editing) class and everyone just came out of the class in a blur state. No one was running towards the exit, no one even look concerned as well. it took like a whole 5 min before people on the 4th floor started evacuating the and yes our class was the slowest.... i think.

And i still have the mood to go and get my camera to snap pics of people "running" in which i didn't. After a while only did they say was a false alarm and blah blah blah... and we were told to remain in the class.

At first when the alarm sounded i thought to myself "Do we have a fire drill practice today?" and than i remember we are not in secondary school anymore so why do need a fire drill? Well after seeing how the students and lecturers react to that false alarm i think we ought to have a fire drill. i mean c'mon you don't grab your bags and stuff when there is a fire right? Unless your bag are the only way for the fireman to identify your chard remains than go ahead (i'm just saying).

that's that for today and oh... kudos to ms Melissa for catching my particular accent when i speak.....shame on you if you did not know about that.

MG prediction for 2010

WARNING GUNDAM POST BELOW

Well since my "lil sis" been complaining about my lack of updates, i just decided to update some random stuff than........ok maybe is not so random after all..

For those of you who don't know and i really believe you don't know is that in 2010, Gundam plastic model kits or GUNPLA for short, turns 30 this year and with that i believe many GUNPLA and gundam fans will be expecting many GUNPLA releases this year.

Last year, Gundam turned 30 because the first animated gundam series was aired in 1979 after a year only did the plastic model kits were release so that would be 1980 so last year Japan build a 1:1 scale size RX-78-2 Gundam to commemorate its 30th Anniversary and of course there were many other stuff they did for the 30th anniversary.



So yes, being 30 years really is a big deal especially in Japan. And yes i am expecting some really good GUNPLA release this year but so far we only know what coming out for this month until March but what about the months to come and the BIGGEST release of year would be? Please note the MG(Master Grade) cause that's the whole hilight for this post. So what i'm going to do is, i'm going to predict the top 10 MG kits that will be coming out this year. Some maybe spot on, some could be just what i want Bandai to release it depends really... so without further delaying these are my top 10 prediction for MG 2010

No. 10
MG Gundam X ver. ka

This gundam here didn't get much love from Bandai and it only has seen a couple of NG(No grade) 1:100 scale releases of it. But is still a leading gundam in its Gundam X series so i believe it should see its MG debut one of these days. But also there are possibility that it won't make it out this year due to the fact that V Gundam ver. ka was release late December last year and many are expecting the V2 Gundam ver.ka this year. But hey it's the 30th anniversary so Bandai might surprise us.

No. 9
MG ZZ Gundam ver. 2.0

MG 1:100 ZZ Gundam

Yes a ver 2.0 would be very nice for this gundam cause i have seen reviews of this gundam and i have to say being one of the earlier MG release it has really crappy joints and parts falling off i just can't accept it. So Bandai please improve this gundam as you have done for the other older MG releases, i think also is only a matter of time that they did since last year they release the Gouf ver 2.0 so i guess they are doing it slowly though.

No. 8
MG Xi Gundam


This gundam here never really saw the daylights of being in any of the animated series nor the OVA but it was one of those novel base gundam series. And again since it's a lead gundam in the graphic novel Hathaway's flash i believe it deserves a MG release. The only thing that stops it from being release is probably the design of the suit. Nontheless it is one of the few gundam i really want to see turned in a MG.

MG Panalope Gundam

Another graphic novel gundam from the graphic novel Hathaway's Flash. Slightly similar in design with the Xi gundam but with the protruding cockpit and extreme bulkiness this will make one of the best MG release of the year if Bandai can get the articulation right.

MG Akatsuki Gundam Shiranui & Owashi

NG 1:100 Akatsuki Gundam with Owashi Pack

NG 1:100 Akatsuki Gundam with Shiranui Pack

Yes, is yet another GSD (gundam seed destiny) line suit. But i think is only fair that this suit gets release in MG cause three reasons 1. it uses the same inner frame as the MG Aile Strike, 2. Since both Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice has been release its only fair to complete the trio with this release and 3. people like me are a sucker for gold plated gundams so Bandai i hope your listening!

MG Nightingale



I guess many loyal UC(universal century) fans out there are still anticipating for this suit. And i think is not impossible to make it i mean, Bandai has made bigger MG before even MG that towers a PG (perfect grade) so why not release this? Besides many fans hopes has been up since the release of the MG Hi- Nu Gundam. And Bandai had kept the the tradition of releasing both Amuro and Char's suits otherwise its just weird.

MG V2 Gundam ver.ka

V2 Assault Buster Gundam

If any ver.ka that will be release this year it will definitely be this one. Bandai surprised us all with a late announcement of the V Gundam ver.ka last year. So many are anticipating for a V2 release and hey i may not like the V Gundam's design but i like the blue and gold color design on this one. And they better include the buster and assault parts because that's what makes the V2 Gundam looks good.

MG Blast Impulse Gundam



This suit didn't get much love as well by bandai as it was only release in FG(first grade) which is a bit of an insult. But if the MG Strike can have all its Striker pack released why not the Impulse have all its Silhouette pack release? Do what your always good at Bandai and that is just changing the colors of the Impluse and all you have to worry is only the Blast Silhouette pack.

I think is only about time that the Gundam 00 line take over the MG spot. Since the Seed and Seed Destiny has been under the MG spot light for way too long since 2003- 2009. So yes, now why Virtue and Nadleeh i hear you ask. Well first of all Nadleeh and Exia both share very similar inner frame design and Virtue well all you have to do is slap on the bulky armour on Nadleeh and there you go Virtue. Simple as that i think there isn't much explaination needed for that. and just for just fun Nadleeh can be the first MG with hair.

MG 00 Raiser

PG 1:60 00 Raiser

Many are anticipating the 00 Raiser this year and i couldn't agree more. Bandai surprise us with a double PG last year, with PG 00 Raiser as the latest member of the PG family. So that gives it even more possibility that it will be release as a MG because hey if bandai is lazy to redesign the 00 Raiser all they have to do is just scale down the PG 00 Raiser or something and of course less parts too. But the biggest question if the 00 Raiser gets its MG debut is will it get the special edition treatment like its predecessor? MG Gundam Exia got the special treatment by getting another release which is the MG Gundam Exia Ignition Mode so will MG 00 Raiser get it or not? Already MG Gundam Exia Ignition Mode got the LED gimmick, silver plating parts, parts to convert it to MG Gundam Exia Repair. So what will 00 Raiser get if it has a special edition release which i am certain of it.

So these are my top 10 releases of the year whether or not they will be release is a matter of time.

2009 Ivan to 2010 Ivan

It's the new year, it's 2010 so what about it? nothing really just the year is new but we are getting old. It's funny how we always embrace the new year and our birthday with a smile but we always end up complaining bout our age soon... ok usually women would complain but we too have guys complaining as well now, times has definitely change.

Anyway just a quick look back at 2009 shall we?

Jan 09
-Stop and left the college of Thousand Of Assignments aka TOA( The One Academy). I can't deny the fact that this college produces really talented artist n designer, the fact that the endless amount of assignments everyday is like training for the real working world in the future as artist or designer. But the fact with my unsatisfying result was the reason i left TOA.

Feb 09
-Officially left TOA. Handed in my withdrawal form and student ID
-Officially enrolled into INTI and will be doing diploma in mass comm starting in May. While my parents asked to go look for another course that has something to do with language. The lady at INTI office offered me the mass comm course which has both language and creativity involved so what else? i just snap up that course.

Mar - Apr 09
-Started my BEP(Bridging English Program), it was a month long program for people to brush up on their english but i was there because i was bored at home and i don't want to wait til May only to resume college life again. I have to say it was the best way for me to get back into college life again ever since i stop from TOA. Met alot new friends and this month long program is just pure fun it seriously didn't felt like college, it was like a summer camp or something, that cause the lecturer always find something interesting for us to do every class.

May 09 - Aug 09
-Started first semester of DMC(Diploma in Mass Comm). First thing when i went into the class was wow... that's alot of girls and so the rumours were true. And seconda thoughts was uh... isn't this class a lil too small for 60 people!!!!
-Class split to M1 and M2.
-Time table changed more than 3 times in a single semester.

Sep 09 - Oct 09
-Started 2nd semester with.... a class mix up. Apparently we didn't really know how the enrollment works so a handful of the original M2 peeps were not in the desired class.
-Loads of add and drop were done.
-M2 peeps were now all in M1 and original M1 peep were in M2
-Psychology was the best and worst subject we ever learnt. Depending on how much effort you put in.
-Never been more stress thab ever.

Nov 09
-2 months holiday equals rotting at home
-work part time at Toy r Us. my first official part time job, apart from my other promoting job i did in the past. Good experience there, i now can stand for 10hrs straight with no problem and i can operate a trolley that oni works when you pull it(is impossible to move it when you push it).

Dec 09
-Resign from my part time job. Why? well cause is crappy...........nah i'm kidding i had projects to accomplish so i had to resign.
-Got a little pet sis. If two sisters weren't enough i just had to get 1 more. But fortuantely i can get along with this one very well =D.
-Christmas project completed.

Well at least is a much more eventful year than last year.. all i will be talking bout last year will assignments, assignments and assignments... typical TOA student life that is. Alright now to 2010 Ivan listen up and listen good. Here is a list of thing you must accomplish this year.

New year resolution for 2010 Ivan
-keep up the grades and don't fail any subjects
-buy less gundams (if possible)
-go to the gym 4 times a week
-drive the big car more often (if possible)
-go on more road trips
-be sporting again and go back playing futsal
-treat your new "lil sis" better
-eat less McD (if possible)
-clean up your room often
-last but not least get laid (i'm kidding don't get your hopes up)

2010 Ivan: uh.... do i really have to accomplish all that??
2009 Ivan: yes you do.... except the last one that isn't part of the resolution...just making sure you were paying attention.
2010 Ivan: ok.... wait buy less gundams?? that's a bit impossible.
2009 Ivan: i know... bought arnd 10 model kits last year that 5 times more than 2008 already.

The sketch above was a bit sketchy... forget about that... Overall 2009 has been a great year. Mostly cause of all the people i met... i love every member of my group The Nothing Box group (Fiqah, Su Wern, Kok Han and Weng Loong) , without you guys i wouldn't really be this random and hyper most of the time, my classmates you guys make the class function so well which just add more fun going 2 college everyday, family, relatives and cousins what will i do without my cousin Nick and my secondary school buddies Ham and Winston. Thanks all for a wonder year. and goodbye 2009.

Best Misunderstood Line of The Year

2009 is about to come to end and we will be saying hello to 2010 soon. I would like to do a look back post but that would be against my title for today's post.

So yes anyway, i was having a conversation with my cousin Nick the other day bout dyeing hair and the conversation was in a rather crowded area, not long after, Nick said "People who walk past us, or overheard our conversation will think we are really sad people trying to end our life."

Well if you realize the word dye is by right usually pronounce the same as how you pronounce die and they sound very similar. So yes, along the conversation we did mention a lot of "dye" which will be very much misunderstood.

The conversation went something like this.

Ivan: Hey dude, you think i should dye my hair?
Nick: What color are you planing to dye anyway?
Ivan: Erm... Brown? But that's like no difference at all...
Nick: Yea...First of all does your parents allow you to dye your hair?
Ivan: I was hoping you dye first, than my parents will allow me to dye also.
Nick: Nah... My dad don't allow me to dye.
Ivan: I thought Si Yi wanted to dye for you? Besides how much she charges?
Nick: Cheaper than most shop would, most shop would dye for RM70, Si Yi will dye for you for only RM20.

If you couldn't get the joke than by all means change the "dye" to "die".
